A downloadable game

You are Edith, an eighteen year old forcefully enlisted into a daily fighting ring that must be held in order to stave off the anger of a goddess. You must fight a variety of archetypes with different gear and abilities, and make it to ranking 0 so that you can walk free. 

Multiple Health Bars

You have to juggle two more health bars on top of health to ensure survival. Morale keeps you sane and ready, while pain will increase as you take damage. On top of having to manage limited energy points, this makes it so that you need to pace yourself, and abuse the opponent in different ways.

Archetypes

Each type combatant has a personality and will fight and suit themselves up according to their gimmick. High intelligence Geeks may not hit hard all the time, but know where to hit, and can lay you out quickly if you're not careful. Bullies and Jocks specialize in tanking hits and delivering damage, but archtypes like Bookworms may be better at dealing morale damage.

  • Added candy that heals morale and gives buffs or removes debuffs based on type

Up Next and Notes

Next I'd like to replace the Ag Club boss theme, to match the baseline Agriculture Club theme. I was somewhat unhappy with both, but mostly the base theme. They are both heavily sampled but so is pretty much the whole soundtrack so far, so maybe, much later of course, I'll replace everything for the sake of originality. I will make sure to keep all original tracks in the files though, just in case. 

I'm aware of the game freezing up after a certain point of ranking. Basically what's happening is that there's SUPPOSED to be a little "you reached the end!" message, but the game freezes instead. I don't know why it freezes, but hopefully it won't be an issue once I'm ready to expand my game past that ranking, and that hopefully it's just the placeholder event. If it's not, then I may have to replace all ranking events in that little cell map.

Someone mentioned a lack of narrative, and considering how much it may throw the balancing off if I were to add it in at the very last, I figured I'd throw it in now. I'm deciding to add in a "Royale" minigame where you are placed in an open arena-dungeon and have the chance to buddy up with other characters temporarily. Each "school" will have their own bosses, maybe one, maybe two. There's going to be a lot I'm going to have to figure out for this one, so it will be a while before I can put it up. Hopefully it will make the game more interesting and we will get to expand on Edith and the game's lore.

I honestly don't get it. My only option are attack and back away, I assume back away is supposed to recover MP, but most of the time it won't?

I'm looking to improve that currently, with items and formula fixes.
